Yoga has been an absolute blessing to my life. The balance, flexibility, grace, and steadiness that it provides is a gift that we may all receive in our own way and in our own time. I first discovered yoga while attending the University of Florida. It was a way to relieve my brain and body from extended study/sitting time. I practiced on and off for several years after that. Now that I am apart of Corporate America I realize the greater need for the spiritually enriching, stress relieving, and meditative quality that yoga provides.
I joined the MMY RYT200 teacher training as a way to enrich my personal practice and help my posture. I had no intention of teaching because I was hyper aware of my body limitations (forward sloping shoulders, tight hips, horrible posture, sway back, you name it!!!!). The nine months of training radically adjusted my alignment both on and off the mat. It made yoga a HUGE part of my life as I continue to study and grow within my personal practice. I feel so fortunate and I want to be able to share this wonderful practice.
My approach to yoga is extremely light hearted. Those who know me know that I don’t take myself too seriously!! I am a goofball :) How that applies to my teaching is a very open and accepting environment. I am playful yet focused on helping my students achieve their yoga goals. I am always ready to learn, grow, and try new things in my practice and I invite you to learn and grow with me!
