Hi! My name is Jordan Johnell. I attended my first official yoga class in 1998 but have been a student of movement since I was three years old. With yoga, I immediately discovered that the tools I learned on my mat carried over to daily life. Yoga has since become my foundation for healing injuries, managing stress, and achieving goals. I began a focused study of yoga in 2009 when Mindful Motion Yoga became my yoga home. In 2011, I completed a 200-hour teacher training program. I have wanted to teach as a way of sharing the benefits of yoga with others – of returning what I have received.
My hope is to offer students an opportunity to discover their own passion for yoga – a place to explore their limits, without expectations of others or of themselves. In class, I hope to invite a sense of playfulness to the practice, as well as the opportunity to connect with what is happening in the moment.
It is a tremendous privilege and honor to be able to teach among my teachers, my friends, and in this community at Mindful Motion Yoga. I believe we are all continual students in yoga and I am excited to go along this journey with you!
